Additional Essay/Short Answer and Reference Information

To be considered for the Beyond Sunday Fellows program, a student must respond to two of the three short answer questions below in 100 words or more (per question). New this year and due to high volume, we are not able to accept emailed, faxed, or mailed responses. The questions are now located at the final stage of the online application (Step 5) and families/students will be able to edit the responses until the February 28th deadline. Responses will be evaluated by RCF beginning March 1st and late responses will not be accepted. If three questions are answered, only questions #1 & #2 will be reviewed for consideration.

  1. Tell us about the ways in which you have helped others and/or served your community. Which experience was the most meaningful to you, and why? (100 words or more)
  2. Tell us about a time when you recognized God working in your life. How did this experience shape your relationship with God going forward? (100 words or more)
  3. Tell us about the ways in which you serve as a leader in your family, school and/or parish. How would a Beyond Sunday Fellowship enable you to have greater impact on others? (100 words or more)

Contact information for two references is also required for consideration in the Beyond Sunday Fellows Program.  References should be Catholic or educational leaders (pastor, teacher, coach, youth minister) who are willing to attest that the student would be a good fit for the Beyond Sunday Fellows Program. Contact information should include the name, phone number, email, title, and organization for each reference.
